Herbert Sewell Yeary, age 84, of Ewing , Virginia, passed away on Wednesday (January 23, 2013,) at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Mr. Yeary was a life long resident of Lee County and a retired truck driver. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ewing, Virginia. He also served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cohleen (Brooks) Yeary; parents, Wiley and Hannah Yeary; six brothers: Tip, Lonnie ,Lawrence, Hubert, Curtis, Sherman and two infant brothers; one sister: Hazel Williams.
He is survived by one son Terry Edward Yeary of Harrogate, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and two special cousins, Ethel Chadwell and Vester Dempsey.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday (January 25, 2013) at the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home Chapel in Rose Hill, Virginia. Funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. in Arney-Mullins Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (January 26, 2013) in the Rosenbaum Cemetery in Hancock County, Tennessee with military graveside rites.
