GEORGE A. COLEMAN, 91, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Housing Urban Development where he served as Building Inspector. George was a member and former Deacon at First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville. He is preceded in death by a son: George David Coleman and a grandson: Garry G. Buttermann, IV.
Surviving are: wife of 66 Years: Wanda Coleman of Sellersburg, Indiana; daughters: Marilyn (Garry III) Buttermann of Crestwood, Kentucky, Tana (Bob) Harris of Charlestown, Indiana; brother: Don (Jean) Coleman of Middlesboro, Kentucky; sister: Helen Jackson, Middlesboro, Kentucky; grandchildren: Jill Canuel, Susan Gingerich, Kelly Oakley, Rob Harris and Veronica Harris; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville with burial to follow Wednesday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro.
