Evelyn Jones Main, 89 of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her home. She was born in Pineville on April 30, 1923, and was a daughter of the late William Green Jones and Rose Ellen Creech Jones. Evelyn was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and had been a Homemaker, extraordinary cook, flower gardener, maker of beautiful needlework and had a great love of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John C. “Pete” Main; brothers and sisters, Florence Hampton, Tilman Hollingsworth, Bill Hollingsworth, Millard Jones, Pauline Gantt and Jesse Jones.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Rose Langford and her husband, Edwin of Frankfort, KY; grandchildren, Florence Elizabeth Jackson, Robert Sean Young and John Phillip Young; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Cox and Jacob Jackson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Philpot; special nurses, Melissa Warren, Rosemary Dunn and Mary Partin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, close friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. David Daniels, Rev. Bill Dunn and Rev. Chris Arnold. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Sean Young, Jacob Jackson and Ryan Warren serving as pallbearers.
