Henry Phipps, 75, of Pineville, passed away Friday, February 15, at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born February 14, 1938 in Pineville, KY, the son of the late Henry and Mary Hendrickson Phipps.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Herb, Willis, Edward and Ewell; 2 sisters: Lucy and Alice.

He is survived by the following members of his family: wife of 49 years: Mary Ruth Phipps; 2 children: David Phipps and Tammy Schlegel; 1 brother: Johnny Phipps; 2 sisters: Esther Wilder and Helen Brown; grandchildren: Robyn Tanya Lynn, Jessica, Jamie, Crystal, David Jr., Amanda and Dylan; special nieces: Kitty and Dorothy Hendrickson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at the Ferndale Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Walter Brock presiding.

Music will be provided by Jewell Lewis and Eric Jordan.

Interment will follow in the Peavley Cemetery at Clear Creek.

Pallbearers will be Ewell, Dewayne, Travis and Ronnie Phipps, William and Ray Elliott.
