Maxine L. Jeffery Garland, age 73, of Pineville, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 19, at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville, TN.
She was born April 8, 1939 at Arjay, KY, the daughter of the late John and Hazel Onkst Jeffery. She was a believer in the Baptist Faith and a life-long resident of Bell County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Garland; sisters: Ruby Engle, Ruth Miller, Evelyn Cinnamon-Johnson, Irene Jeffery and Reva Greer.
She is survived by the following members of her family: sister: Margie Woolum of Cincinnati, OH; brothers: Harold and Betty Jeffery of Norwood, OH, Howard and Fayrene Jeffery of Pineville; special friend: Mageline Mills of Pineville, KY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Interment was held on Friday, February 22, at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
