CUMBERLAND — Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC) President Lynn Moore announced Tuesday she is resigning effective December 31 to pursue other opportunities. Moore joined SKCTC in June 2013.

“It has been my great personal and professional honor to serve as the president/CEO of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College for the past three and a half years.” Moore said. “I will always remain very proud of the amazing faculty, staff and administrators I have had the honor of leading in the service of our communities and our students. Eddie and I look forward to retirement and to future opportunities to serve.”

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Jay Box will name an interim president soon and a national search will begin in the first chapter of 2017. Information on the interim president and a presidential search is being coordinated through the KCTCS system office, which will make all announcements regarding new leadership.

“We appreciate Dr. Moore’s service to the college and the community.” Box said. “During her time at SKCTC, ground was broken for a new education building on the Middlesboro campus, new partnerships with four year institutions were formed and the first SKCTC facilities master planning process, which brought all five campuses under one plan, also was achieved. She has served the college and community well and we wish her the best in her new endeavors.”
